SBS Bank Southland Stags have struck up a partnership with the Hawthorndale Care Village – a decision that acknowledges the issue of cognitive health among former rugby players.
The $35 million Hawthorndale project, now under construction in Invercargill, is a dementia care facility for Southland..
The collaboration means the care village logo will be printed on the upper back of all playing jerseys and replicas, and also includes backing for awareness campaigns and donation drives.
